Quantum Plastics River Bend Iowa Division Lands Award from Goodwill Partnership
Victor, IA – May 17, 2016 – Goodwill of the Heartland has selected Quantum Plastics River Bend Iowa Division as the recipient of its 2015 Contract Partner of the Year award. 
The award is presented to businesses who partner with Goodwill to provide employment opportunities for people with specific barriers. Companies that participate in these programs help to develop practical work skills and training for individuals who may face disabilities and other employment challenges.
Quantum Plastics Iowa has a long history with Goodwill of the Heartland. “We began working together in 2008,” said Quantum Plastics River Bend Iowa Division Manager Bill Collins. “It is an honor to work with Goodwill and alongside such dedicated and talented individuals. The Goodwill workers take such pride in what they do and it shows in the quality of their work.” Quantum Plastics River Bend Iowa Division is a leading plastics manufacturer for brand name appliances but also molds parts for the consumer and recreation and utility vehicle industries.
In 2015, 43 people worked 4,234 hours in Goodwill’s Contract Services Department and with Quantum Plastics River Bend Iowa Division to build more than 243,000 ice chute assemblies and inspect thousands of parts. Jessica Schamberger, Goodwill of the Heartland’s Vice President of Operations said, “The work that the River Bend Iowa Division does with our organization has a tremendous impact on the people we serve. The award was presented on Friday, April 15 at The Edgar’s banquet at the Coralville Marriott.
