The new state of the art equipment aligns with Quantum Plastics’ environmental initiative and uses the latest technology to manufacture detailed parts.  The new 1100 and 2000 ton presses are HAITIAN MARS Servo-Hydraulic Energy Saving Toggle Clamp machines.   Quantum Plastics President and Chief Operating Officer, Ron Embree said, “The injection presses will provide up to 20%-70% energy savings and increase our efficiency during production.  One of the most exciting features effecting our production line is the speed of the operating systems in each of the machines.  This means that any changes we make to the temperature, pressure, or speed of the press take place immediately; we are no longer waiting 2 or 3 cycles for a change to take effect.  This immediate responsiveness translates into repeatable high precision parts and allows us to offer our customers shorter lead times.”

The Quantum Plastics’ River Bend Division is a key source for appliance manufacturing along with a number of other parts for the consumer, recreation and utility vehicle industries.  The machines and robots join Quantum Plastics’ 30 to 3000-ton fleet of 230 injection, insert, gas assist and blow molding presses.
